Richie Stanaway's success at Bathurst with Shane van Gisbergen hints at his return to full-time racing with Penrite Racing in 2024. Stanaway joined van Gisbergen for a Bathurst win just before Penrite Racing announced his comeback alongside Matt Payne for the upcoming season.
Stanaway's Bathurst victory followed his retirement and a challenging stint with Garry Rogers Motorsport and Tickford Racing, but his impressive international track record and performances in the PIRTEK Enduro Cups keep the anticipation high for his return. From winning titles in Formula Ford and German ADAC Formula Masters to dominating races in GP3 and Formula Renault 3.5, Stanaway has showcased his talent across various series. He also made waves in GP2, claiming wins, including a prestigious victory in Monaco's feature race.
His experience extends to tin-top racing with Aston Martin in the World Endurance Championship and Porsche SuperCup. Stanaway made his Supercars debut in 2016 and showed promise during the Enduro Cup before transitioning to full-time competition.
