Penrite Oils extends major partnership with Grove Racing
Leading Supercars team Grove Racing is pleased to confirm that Australian oil giant Penrite will continue as its title partner under a new multi-year agreement, further strengthening one of the most recognisable partnerships in the Repco Supercars Championship.
The renewed partnership comes as Penrite celebrates its 100-year anniversary in 2026, with celebrations beginning this week and continuing through next year.
Penrite Oil Chief Executive Officer, Toby Dymond said, “We’re proud to continue our long-standing partnership with the Grove Racing team – a great example of two Australian family businesses coming together, built on trust, hard work, and a shared passion for what we do.”
“Over the years, this partnership has grown stronger, driven by our common values of performance, dedication, and teamwork both on and off the track.”
“As Penrite approaches its 100-year milestone in 2026, we’re celebrating a century of innovation and determination – qualities that align perfectly with Grove Racing’s spirit and drive for success.”
“Supporting talented drivers like Matt Payne and Kai Allen makes this partnership even more special, and we’re excited for many great seasons ahead together.”
The milestone marks a century since the family-owned company was founded in Melbourne in 1926, and the team’s #19 and #26 Ford Mustangs continue to proudly carry the colours of the all-Australian brand into this historic period.
Since its foundation, Penrite Oil has been committed to producing high-quality lubricants under Australian ownership, and has had a long and prominent affiliation with motorsport — headlined by its major sponsorship in Supercars and title partnership with Penrite Racing.
Since joining forces in 2021, Penrite and Grove Racing have built a strong and successful partnership that now heads into its fifth year and beyond. Over that time, the team has achieved six race wins and 32 podiums, establishing itself as a consistent front-runner in the sport’s top tier.
Team Owner, Stephen Grove said “We’re incredibly proud to extend our partnership with Penrite as they approach their 100-year anniversary in 2026 — a milestone very few companies achieve.”
“Penrite has been an integral part of our journey, and this multi-year renewal reflects the strength of our relationship and shared ambition to reach the top step of the podium. We’re excited to continue building on our success together, both on and off the track, as we enter this next chapter.”
The 2025 season has marked a year of significant growth for the team, which currently sits second in the teams’ championship after nine rounds. Matt Payne enters this weekend’s Repco Bathurst 1000 in second place on the drivers’ standings, having already locked into the all-new Supercars Finals Series that begins later this month at the Gold Coast 500.
Rookie driver Kai Allen has impressed in his debut campaign, scoring four podiums and currently sitting 10th in the championship as he aims to secure a top-10 finish and a place in the finals.
This weekend at Mount Panorama, Payne will share the #100 Ford Mustang in recognition of Penrite’s significant anniversary with five-time Bathurst winner Garth Tander, while Allen will team up with the experienced Dale Wood in the #26 Mustang.
