WEEKEND WRAP: SYDNEY SUPERNIGHT

It was a difficult weekend for Penrite Racing in Sydney.

Race 18 began with Dave and Matt lining up P11 and P23 respectively after the three phase qualifying session.

Dave was placed in the top 5 on track in race 18 with solid pace following his pitstop. His race was cut short, however a right front failure sent him into the wall at turn 8 causing extensive front and rear damage. Reynolds described the impact as his hardest in the last several years. Penrite Racing worked throughout the night to rebuild the car for Sunday’s action.

Dave qualified P8 for the final race of the weekend, unfortunately a turn 1 incident on lap 1 saw Dave pinched between Anton and Will Brown which ruined both Brown and Reynolds races as they were relegated to the rear of the field. Matt came home P23 maintaining the position he qualified in a disappointing day.

The team continue to work hard to improve our pace and are looking ahead to Round 8 at Tailem Bend.
