FRIDAY PRACTICE WRAP: DARWIN TRIPLE CROWN

Penrite Racing showed strong pace in their Practice sessions after a challenging round in Tasmania. Dave finished the first practice session of the weekend in P2 despite running wide with 14 minutes remaining in the session. He finished close behind Broc Feeney where Dave was top of the leaderboard with a time of 1:06.5439s, before Feeney clocked a 1:06.5132s.

Matt finished his first session in Darwin within the top ten.

The team gave another solid Practice session with some set up changes in preparation for qualifying tomorrow. Dave came home in P7 and Matt completed his session in P20.

David Reynolds said:

“All in all it was not a bad day. I felt like each session we improved the car. We’re still missing one small piece of detail to get right up the top, but I am confident and we can think about it overnight, make some changes, and come out swinging tomorrow.”

Matt Payne said:

“We had a positive first Practice with a P9 finish. It is really important not to make a mistake tomorrow in qualifying and we just need to put it all together and we should be pretty close to the top ten. The car is feeling good; a few changes to make to get the most out of it and get a good qualifying position for the race.”

Qualifying begins tomorrow for Race 13 at 11:30 and Race 13 is set to start at 15:25.
