Bumper 2027 calendar locked in for Penrite Racing
A new-look 14-round Repco Supercars Championship awaits Penrite Racing in 2027, with year-round action just around the corner.
The 2027 season will begin under lights in Sydney in late-February, before a trip to the Apple Isle in March with an early visit to Tasmania for the second round.
The busy opening start to the season will include the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix at the start of April in what is expected to be another sold-out event at Albert Park.
From there, teams will pack for the trek to New Zealand, with the popular double header in Christchurch and Taupo in May, with the events switching order and Taupo finishing off the New Zealand swing.
Following the trip across the Tasman, Supercars will return to action in June with the Darwin Triple Crown featuring night racing for the first time.
Trips to Townsville and Perth will then wrap up the Repco Sprint Cup season in July and August respectively.
The popular Penrite Oil Sandown 500 event now moves to late August, with the pre-enduro event the perfect warm up for the busy end to the season.
The AirTouch 500 at The Bend follows in September as the first co-driver event, before the iconic Repco Bathurst 1000 takes place in its traditional October timeslot.
The Finals Series will then welcome a new addition to the ranks, with the previously confirmed news that Phillip Island will join the Gold Coast 500 and Adelaide Grand Final to help crown the season’s Champions in October and November.
Penrite Racing CEO Brenton Grove:
“We’re pleased to see the finalised 2027 Supercars calendar and look forward to another strong year, starting in Sydney in February,” Brenton said.
“Phillip Island re-joining the Supercars calendar is an exciting prospect for all of us at Penrite Racing, particularly as one of the three Finals events. Having a home final here in Victoria is certainly something we look forward to being part of.
“Across the rest of the year, we know that our events are enjoying strong growth and we’re excited to be working with the team at Supercars to further enhance the already strong product on and off track and continue to entice new fans to our sport.”
