A golden era for Penrite Racing at the Repco Bathurst 1000

Penrite Racing has revealed a striking new livery for its return to the iconic Mount Panorama as the team looks to defend its Bathurst crown.

The #19 and #26 Penrite Mustangs were unveiled this morning at one of Australia’s most iconic racing corners, with the Chase providing the perfect backdrop for the launch alongside signage featuring brands from the Penrite Automotive family.

This year, both Ford Mustangs will feature chrome gold and black across the cars – a nod to Penrite’s 100 years celebrations that have been ongoing throughout 2026.

The Penrite Automotive brand now features on the side of the cars, showing Penrite’s new branding and footprint across Australian automotive products. Penrite Filters is also showcased on the bonnet, highlighting the organisation’s wide range of automotive offerings.

Blahst will now feature prominently on the Penrite Mustangs, following Penrite’s acquisition of a majority shareholding in the company last month.

Both Ultima and Autolite, which have featured on the Penrite Racing entries at events throughout 2026, also adorn the team’s Ford Mustangs. Ezilift also joins the brands featured on the cars.

Penrite Racing heads into the weekend leading the Teams’ Championship. Matt Payne, who will drive with two-time Bathurst winner Will Davison, is also leading the Drivers’ Championship. Kai Allen sits third, and is also well and truly in contention for the Enduro Cup after he and co-driver Tim Slade finished second after 500km of epic racing at The Bend in September.

The cars and drivers will roll out for the first practice session on Thursday 8 October ahead of a jam-packed four days of on- and off-track action, including 1000km of racing on Sunday 11 October from 11.30am.

This year, Penrite Oil also takes the crown as the Official Oil Partner of the Repco Bathurst 1000.

The event will be broadcast across Fox Sports, Kayo and the Seven network.

Toby Dymond, CEO, Penrite Automotive:
“This livery is a celebration of how far Penrite has grown, bringing together the Penrite Automotive brands including Autolite, BLAHST, Ultima and Ezilift, with Penrite Filters proudly featured on the bonnet,” Dymond said.

“The liquid gold design is bold, distinctive and a great reflection of the energy behind our brands. We’re incredibly proud to see the Penrite Automotive family represented on one of the biggest stages in Australian motorsport.”

Brenton Grove, CEO, Penrite Racing:
“We’re thrilled to present our 2026 Penrite Racing entries for the Repco Bathurst 1000 in what is a very memorable livery,” Brenton said.

“The team has got a lot of momentum heading into this one but also we know there are plenty of expectations heading to the Mountain as the reigning champs, but the team is well prepared and ready to defend our crown.”

Matt Payne, 2025 Bathurst 1000 winner, #19 Penrite Mustang:
“The Penrite Mustangs look incredible in this new livery,” Payne said.

“There’s been a lot of talk in the lead up to this race and plenty of looking back on the success of 2025, but we’re fully focused on the job ahead this weekend.

“Last year was something special but this year we’re keen to create even more history and deliver another memorable race for the team, this time with Will sharing the driving duties of the #19 Penrite Mustang.”

Kai Allen, #26 Penrite Mustang:
“After a strong weekend at The Bend, both Tim and I are eager to get back on track at Bathurst in what is a pretty awesome looking livery,” Allen said.

“The cars look mega, we know they have plenty of pace so we’re eager to show what we can do at the mountain and continue our strong run of form in the Championship and fight hard to bring home the Enduro Cup.”
