Grove Racing Welcomes Ferrari F1 Engineer Riccardo Corte as Race Engineer
Grove Racing is proud to announce the appointment of Riccardo Corte as Race Engineer on Kai Allen’s Ford Mustang for the 2026 season, bringing with him over a decade of world-class experience from the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 Team.
Riccardo joins Grove Racing following eleven years at Ferrari, where he most recently served as Lewis Hamilton’s Performance Engineer during the first half of the 2025 Formula 1 season. Throughout his time in Maranello, Riccardo held senior roles across the simulation department and the vehicle dynamics team, contributing to car development and collaborating with some of the sport’s most accomplished drivers — including Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.
In his new role, Riccardo will work closely with Grove Racing’s engineering group and drivers to lead all performance aspects of Car 26 and continue developing the tools and systems that drive the team’s on-track performance.

Riccardo Corte
Race Engineer, Grove Racing
“I’m really proud to be joining Grove Racing at such an exciting time for the team. The progress they’ve made in recent seasons is impressive, and the Bathurst 1000-win shows what’s possible with the right people and mindset.
After eleven years at Ferrari F1, I’m looking forward to bringing that experience into Supercars, helping the team keep pushing forward and maximising every opportunity on track.”
Alistair McVean, Kai’s current Senior Race Engineer, will transition into the role of Head of Performance at Grove Racing. A foundational member of the team since Day One, following his tenure at Kelly Racing, Alistair remains an integral part of Grove Racing’s engineering department. In his new role, he will continue to apply his extensive experience to drive the ongoing development of the engineering team and enhance vehicle performance across both cars.
Alistair’s technical expertise, attention to detail, and leadership have been instrumental in establishing Grove Racing as a competitive force within the Supercars Championship. His ability to balance data-driven analysis with strategic decision-making has directly contributed to strong on-track results including five podium finishes with rookie driver Kai Allen during the 2025 season.
As Head of Performance, Alistair will oversee all performance-related programs, ensuring alignment between race engineering, simulation, and data development. He will play a key role in advancing Grove Racing’s technical capabilities, fostering collaboration across departments, and driving innovation to ensure the team continues to build on its competitive momentum.
Grove Racing’s investment in people and capability continues as part of its broader strategy to establish a sustainable, high-performance structure capable of competing, and winning, at the top of the Supercars Championship.
