Penrite Racing to run ANZAC Appeal tribute livery in New Zealand

Penrite Racing to run ANZAC Appeal tribute livery in New Zealand for the ITM Taupō Super 440.

Penrite Racing will pay homage to ANZAC Day by showcasing a special tribute livery at the third round of the Repco Supercars Championship in Taupō, New Zealand, with a message to donate to the Appeal that supports veterans adjust to civilian life.

Penrite Oil’s logo will feature poppy flowers, replacing the traditional wreath, symbolising remembrance, and honouring the ANZAC spirit during the event.

Initiated by the team’s Naming Right partner, Penrite Oil,  the livery will promote a special donation drive for the ANZAC Appeal in partnership with RSL Victoria.

Fans of Supercars can donate to the Appeal with donations of $20 or more ensuring fans go into the draw to win a signed bonnet of one of the team’s cars from the Taupō event after the race meeting.

The ANZAC Appeal raises funds for the RSL and their Sub-Branches across Australia to support veterans in a range of ways.

This includes advocacy to help gain compensation for physical and mental health injuries through service, assistance with day-to-day medical support and employment, social support for veterans and families, and programs that promote physical health and social connection like RSL Active.

This is the second time that Penrite Racing has supported such commemorations. Last year to mark Remembrance Day (November 11), the team ran a poppy on the car to raise awareness for the Poppy Appeal.

This year marks the 110th ANZAC Day, commemorating the landings of Australian and New Zealand troops in Gallipoli, Turkey, on April 25, 1915. In addition, Penrite Oil are welcoming their 100-year anniversary as a proud Australian Made & Owned company.

Team drivers Matt Payne and rookie Kai Allen, along with their Supercars rivals, will hit the Taupō track on Friday, April 11 ahead of qualifying and racing on Saturday and Sunday.
