REYNOLDS P1 IN PRACTICE PERTH SUPERSPRINT

It was a positive first day on track for Penrite Racing as their Ford Mustangs took to the CARCO.com.au circuit for the 90 minute practice session today in Perth.

 

There was a total of three red flags during the session with multiple cars going into the gravel pausing the session.

Reynolds set tremendous pace, edging out Hazelwood in the last few moments of Practice to come home fastest with only 0.0348s setting him apart from Hazelwood.

Payne impressed with a P9 finish, continuing his positive streak from his results at the Australian Grand Prix.

David Reynolds said:

“We finished fasted out of anyone today in Practice. We had a 90 minute session which is the longest session we’ve had in a long time, but it went really fast for us on our side. There were a few red flags. I got out the car a couple of times, had a little rest but the team did a fantastic job today at Penrite Racing, every change they made it a little bit better or a little bit worse so towards the end of the day we out all our best changes in put a new set of tyres on and went fastest overall. A huge tick in the box for performance today and feel really good, I love being here, I love driving these cars and can’t wait to qualify tomorrow.”

 

Tomorrow will see a three-part Qualifying and Race 7 kicking off at 11:10am local time.
