Wanneroo Raceway will host the third round of the Repco Supercars Championship. The circuit is a 2.411 km track located in Neerabup, about 50 km north of Perth in Western Australia.

The Bosch Power Tools Perth SuperSprint is set to run across three days with the action kicking off on Friday 28th April with a 90-minute practice session.

There will be three 42-lap sprint races across the weekend. A three-part Qualifying and Race 7 will take place on Saturday.

Sunday action begins for Supercars with two qualifying sessions for the following two 42-lap sprints (Races 8 and 9).

The event follows a challenging Round Two at the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix. Our overall car speed, strong qualifying and race results delivered by Matt over the weekend and Dave climbing his way from last on the grid to finish P8 in the final race, were positives taken from AGP.

Matt is currently leading the rookie pack in P17 with 247 points, Dave currently sits in P8 in the championship behind Broc Feeney with 325 points to his name.

Matthew Payne said:

“Really looking forward to WA and racing in Perth. It’s an interesting qualifying format on Saturday and three races over the weekend which will spice things up. I think the qualifying will be tight, so it’s going to be about maximising that to make the racing a bit easier – if you qualify at the back, it’s going to be pretty hard with the limited passing at that track which also makes strategy pretty important. I’m looking forward to getting out there on Friday.”

David Reynolds said:

“We’re looking to build on our car speed which we currently have in our package. We think we have a pretty fast car. This week, over the three races, it’s about making as few errors as possible; driving strategy and pit stops. It’s a crucial weekend for our year. If we can do that at Perth, then that will give us a lot of confidence for the rest of the year. I need to drive the car 100% and qualify in the race, and if we do that, then I think we have a definite chance to win.”
