RAAF PILOT GETS A TASTE OF PENRITE RACING GEN3 SUPERCAR

Before the action kicked off at the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix, Matt Payne took Air Force Roulettes pilot, Benjamin Hepworth (Roulette 6) around the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit.

Hepworth was the pilot that captained the Roulette David Reynolds took to the skies in last week for his unforgettable flying experience pre-Aus GP.

Hepworth was joined in the garage by Ben Price (Roulette 7) and the RAAF PR team to capture the special moment in what was also Matthew Payne’s first laps around the circuit.

Hopping out of the #19 Gen3 Ford Mustang, Benjamin Hepworth said:

“Incredible experience. Thanks to Matt, Dave, and the whole team for arranging it. Incredible; so many parallels between what Air Force does and what an elite team like Penrite do,”said Benjamin.

“The way the team work in the pit – the support crew to get the car out on track is phenomenal, absolutely phenomenal. Best thing on 4 wheels!”

Driver No #19, Matt Payne said:

“Awesome to take Ben around the track today. Great to have him experience the lateral G-forces on the ground compared to in the air. We definitely had fun out there and I hope he enjoyed it as much as I did.”

Air Force Roulettes aerobatic team from the Central Flying School at RAAF Base East Sale, will fly in a formation of six Pilatus PC-21 aircraft this weekend.
