PENRITE RACING MAKE THE NUMBERS WORK FOR 2023

The Gen3 Penrite Racing Mustangs of David Reynolds and Matthew Payne will make the numbers line up in season 2023 when they proudly sport #19 and #26.

Confirmed today – Friday, December 2 – at the Valo Adelaide 500, the change pays homage to the year of Penrite’s establishment in 1926, by young entrepreneur Les Mecoles.

The new #19 number for main game rookie Payne and the classic #26 of Reynolds was revealed on the underside of both Mustang bonnets, in what is a temporary fixture for the final round of 2022, as the squad celebrates the continuation of its partnership with the historic Australian oil brand.

Grove Racing Team Owner, Stephen Grove, said: “With our 2023 driver line-up, the change to #19 and #26 signifies a new era for both us and Penrite, welcoming Matt Payne alongside long-time Penrite ambassador, David Reynolds.”

“It’s great that we’ve had the opportunity to run numbers that mean so much to Penrite and showcase such a long and established business.

“Partners like Penrite, an Australian, family-owned brand showcase the true Australian spirit of business and we’re excited to promote their product.”

Brand Manager of Penrite Oil Company, Jarrod Harding, said: “It has always been a goal since entering Supercars full-time that we could get our hands on the perfect book-end numbers of 19 and 26. And from the Adelaide 500 onwards we finally have them.”

“At Penrite we have always celebrated our Australian history, which is why our cars have always flown the Australian flag. We are equally as proud of our family-owned company’s history and the year 1926 is very important to us.

“It’s great that in 2023 we can finally unveil the #19 and #26 with Penrite Racing with David Reynolds and Matt Payne campaigning us into Gen3.”

The Penrite racing Mustangs are taking on the streets of Adelaide for the Valo Adelaide 500 with the final races taking place tomorrow – Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4, with David Reynolds (#26) and Lee Holdsworth (#10).
