Penrite Racing to Run Thomas Maxwell and Griffin Gardiner in 2022 Supercars Eseries

Penrite Racing will return to the sim racing world in The Cash Converters Supercars Eseries for the 2022 season.

The series will take place over six rounds running from the 20th of July to the 24th of August over the iRacing platform.

Two championships constitute the six-week series including the Pro Series for professional gamers and the All Stars Series for Supercars and Dunlop Super2 drivers.

Penrite Racing enters Dunlop Super2 star Thomas Maxwell to compete in the All Stars Series for all six rounds alongside Griffin Gardiner who will partake in the Pro Series for the team.

 

Drivers will take on iconic circuits including Sandown, Bathurst and Phillip Island to name a few, with the racing consisting of multiple endurance races where the all star drivers and pro gamers will team up.

The team is racing each week for a $1000 cash donation to a charity of our choosing.

The first round, taking place at Winton Motor Raceway, will be broadcast and streamed through Fox Sports, Kayo, 7plus, Sky Nz, YouTube, Facebook and Twitch at 7:30pm on the 20th of July with Qualifying for Race 1 of the Pro Series.

This will be followed by the All Star Series Qualifying for Race 1 at 7:15pm.

Pro Series Race 1 begins at 7:4pm and All Stars Race 1 starts at 8:30pm. The broadcast will conclude at 9:00pm AEST.

Thomas Maxwell, All Star driver for Penrite Racing E series said: “Awesome to be teaming up with Penrite Racing for this years Supercars eSeries. Hopefully we can steer clear of all the chaos and have a bit of fun. Bring on the next 6 weeks.”

Griffin Gardiner, Pro Series driver for Penrite Racing E series said: “First of all, a huge thanks to Penrite Racing for giving me an opportunity to represent them in this years’ Supercars Pro Eseries.”

“Having to go through the Draft is always a stressful process but I had a some very good results and its always a bonus to be selected by an organisation like Penrite Racing.

“Hopefully I can produce some good results over the course of the season and finish well in the championship. I also look forward to partnering with Thomas in the Endurance rounds and hopefully we can get some strong results together.”
